The past few weeks have been quite exciting for residents of Abaco, indeed for everyone across the country as well, as the country’s general election saw a landslide victory for the opposing government party. As things wind down and return to normal, what better way to relax with family and friends than to enjoy a day of boating and beaching!

We may still be living in the month of May, but everyone will surely agree that summer is here. The sun is bright, the air is warm and the water is cool and refreshing. Many would agree that one of the most enjoyable things to do at the beach is snorkelling. Our crystal clear waters provide some of the best snorkelling in the world as Abaco proudly boasts one of the largest barrier reefs in the world, The Great Abaco Barrier Reef.

Brendals Dive Center in Green Turtle Cay offers a number of exciting packages including wild dolphin encounters and hand-feeding stingrays. Make a day trip out of it and enjoy a delicious BBQ right on the beach.

On Green Turtle Cay rests the settlement of New Plymouth, home to a wide variety of homes ranging from historic Bahamian houses to modern luxury homes. One such home is Sound Harbour, located on a sea-to-sea estate at the Northern end of White Sound. Featuring 2 docks and a private beach, this 8 bed/8 bath waterfront home makes relaxation in paradise it’s top priority. Enjoy that Caribbean Blue sea just steps from your front door.

If theres one thing I know for sure, is that Abaco has some of the most beautiful waters in the world. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
